Why Lolo

In the first page of  the book Desert Solitaire, Edward Abbey describes how every person has their own idyllic version of “home”. To him it was the sparse desert surrounding Moab, Utah. For us, home is among the granite domes out by Lolo Pass.

Bonus points because “Lolo” is unique and sounds cool

Why Hardware 

Some of the most notable brands in the outdoor space began by making climbing hardware but have since shifted into making apparel because its far more profitable to sell cotton than little bits of pacific iron. We thought it would be funny to include this in the name especially since we have no intention of making any hardware, ever. 

Also, the domain name “lolohardware.com” was significantly cheaper than “lolo.com” (six figures cheaper).
